Here we have Independent Maine Senator Angus King calling Fox News & Friend “cruel” for doing all they can to deny millions of people health insurance. All because of an old clip of Ned Nobody saying the ACA passed because of political transparency and stupid voters. Well Ned Nobody sure got the stupid voters part right, let me tell you.
But the nut of this interview comes after Angus King explains that if he had no insurance some years back, a cancer he had would not have been found and he would now be dead. To which Fox & Friends Kilmeade and Guiloyle replied,”What does that have to do with it?” and “But that doesn’t have anything to do with it” respectively. They are right except that It has everything to do with it.
This is something I am sure we are all aware of. My good friend Bob and I had strokes at about the same time. I had my wife’s corporate insurance, Bob was a waiter with no insurance. I got a fully paid $300,000 brain operation and free Plavix, Bob got no operation, could not afford the $400 a month for Plavix and was dead in a year. The entire human population of this planet understands that EXCEPT Republicans in America. Character matters.
Gallup today released a poll that says the majority of Americans want the Republicans to lead the way and call the shots. So what are the shots?
Taking health care away from ten million people who really need it.
Fouling the air, the water and warming up the planet to destruction.
More religious intolerance.
More racial animus.
Tax relief for the wealthy.
Increase in the disparity of wealth.
Giving Hispanic a big kick in the ass.
More war.
More guns.
Making voting harder.
Deregulation in all matters of the economy.
And that’s just the top of their to-do list. It’s the manure in the rural air…
