Boy, did The Donald step in it with this one, not because he offended women or the Pro Choice crowd, but because he brought it to everyone’s attention that the the Republican Party is all about punishing women for having an abortion whether legal or illegal.
Legally the Republican party punishes women who have abortions by making sure there is a crowd in front of clinics screaming “baby murderer” at them. Republicans vote to close clinics so women have to get off work, travel hundreds of miles and spend hundreds more dollars to just enjoy their rights. They post doctors names and addresses and shoot enough of them in the back to put the fear of God into everyone involved. And of course they want a big intrusive government to punish them by forcing them to have children they do not want.
As to illegal abortions, the Republican Party platform makes abortion illegal in all cases. Punishing women not only by forcing them to have children they do not want, but to send them to veterinarians, dentists, plumbers and Mexican drug cartels to be chopped up. Oh, and to have the crap pounded out of them by bonehead fathers and boyfriends. Did I forget suicides? Sorry. So every single facet of Pro Life movement punishes women one way or another, and The Donald let that cat out of the bag to the horror of an already on the skids GOP. Hear! Here!
I did ask a pro life friend if they ever thought about what would actually happen if they managed to take us back to before 1973 making abortion illegal. Women will just stop having abortions! Like taking sex education out of schools, kids will just stop having sex. Everything is so simple and straight forward when you let God do your thinking for you.
