The Soup Bonus: Glenn Beck Jeans Television Ad…Take That Levis!on October 20, 2012 at 5:00 am
Tired of the government telling you how to spend your hard-earned money? Let Glenn Beck boss you around again. Now that you have gold (or the promise of gold) and a Glenn Beck Survival Kit, you can be the hottest looking guy in the bomb shelter. Just zip up your brand new pair of 1791 Supply & Co Jeans. The Beck brand will run you a cool $129.99; but on the plus side, the jeans are made in America. The jean label is a result of a Beck boycott of Levis…And in all probability, his own diminished earning capabilities after quite deservedly being boycotted so widely that even Fox ‘news’ bounced him from their stable.
For the record, Beck ‘claims’ that the genesis of his brand was anger over a Levi’s ad. Beck claimed that the ad “promoted progressivism and glorified revolution.” I guess I zoned out during the ads again, the revolution slipped right by ME again!
