How about a Middle East boycott?
I began my boycott of the Middle East a long time ago. I am a big fan of NPR, specifically All Things Considered and Morning Edition. But for the past 30 years or so I have turned it off every time anything in the Middle East comes up. Which is very very often. I rather stick needles in my eyes that listen to the same old crap day after day, year after year, CENTURY AFTER CENTURY.
I am sick to death of the place. A place no one in their right mind would want to go to for any reason. It’s a horrible place on every front that begs the words – dry rubble rocky sand brown violent intolerance terrorism death torture beheading guns bombs sectarian hate all wrapped up in a horrible stone age mentality with modern day weapons. Please make it go away. Whenever it comes up I think of Dune and House Harkonnen.
