We peasants at the bottom simply have a perception problem, seven hundred billion dollars sounds like a lot to us. Of course it would seem like an immense amount, we don’t even see that much Monopoly money – in a lifetime.
The figure represents the amount that extending tax breaks for the wealthy will cost us, but I see now that we simply have to put this thing into perspective like Fox’s Eric Bolling does, in order to see the logic of extending the sweetheart deal to the very rich. Bolling finally convinced me that it’s really such a pittance that he certainly won’t miss it.
