Why do Republicans hate President Obama so very very much? Living in Texas now for only 34 years has given me some degree of understanding of this issue. Texans are a bit better when it comes to race relations than most of the rest of the confederacy. We do not have much trouble with African Americans as co workers, neighbors, or dealing with in government service. In fact we are little different than most White Americans in that we resent African Americans in any sense of power, able to tell White people what to do. You know, we see it much like having a woman as a boss. Or being arrested by an Hispanic policeman. All understandable, but what trumps the ire is when African Americans who are cooler, smarter and better looking than the rest of us. Even in bangs.
