Worst: Bachmann a Superfreak, Rupert Murdochs mea culpa, Betsy McCoy bad joke

Gold: Michele Bachmann. To borrow from the late Rick James, whom I suspect would run from this very freaky girl, Michele Bachmann is a superfreak. Bachmann has been publicly speculating about what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would do to bring Blue Dog Democrats in line over health care reform. Of course, her speculation is based on nothing, but she hopes it will turn into fact in the brains of those
listening – through a magical alchemy, which works far too well in our national media craze, hate talk. I suspect she’s inadvertently revealed her own fantasies. Pelosi has never shown any predilection for the methods Bachmann conjures with eerie glee. Besides being felonies, the first two brutal methods would ruin a manicure and a silk blouse, but Bachmann knows that if you’re angry enough you don’t worry about those things, well Pelosi does! Keith reminds us of the bizarre method she attempted just last month to get fellow Republicans to sharpen their letter openers and join her in a gory group activity, with the goal of stopping health care reform. There is no reason she cannot make that particular commitment by herself without those losers – you go girl!

Silver: Rupert Murdoch steals second place. I’m certain that Sandra Guzman, the former editor of the New York Post’s Tempo magazine would agree that he deserves first place in perpetuity. Guzman was one of those who publicly protested the tasteless cartoon of February 2 in the Post, prompting a later mea culpa from Murdoch himself. See what started the controversy and what happens to those who stand up for what’s right when they work for Rupe!

Bronze: Betsy McCoy, Conscience Deprivation Disorder poster girl, and big insurance company shill has accomplished much, if you believe perpetrating lies to frighten people concerning health care reform, while collecting big checks is an accomplishment. Recently, Betsy has written an Op-Ed featuring an alleged Florida
neurosurgeon with a lot of time on his hands. He’s a colleague of pretend doctor Rep. Paul Broun, R – GA. a “winner” from yesterday for his unique theory of health coverage for all. You will recognize the celebrated Florida physician’s handiwork, it’s one of the most disrespectful “cartoons” to circle the net, thinly veiled as an anti-health reform poster.
