I am not sure what to say about all this business with Republicans fighting even background checks at gun shows when over 90% of Americans are for it and 86% of gun owners and even the majority of NRA members. Is this part of putting a new face on the GOP? Many talk about this or that election being the most important in history. I am coming to believe that 2014 just may be the one. Can the GOP stay nasty politics and their failing demographics and still win an off year election.
Perhaps the way to solve this issue is for a PAC or LOBBY to get some billionaire on board and promise to match any campaign money given to Congress by gun lobbies. Someone needs to step up to the bar.
