I have hired illegal aliens a few times for a day or two of digging. Best workers in the world.
The guy across the street has two landscape crews of illegal aliens. I asked him a few years ago if he would give my 18 year old son a Summer job. Nope. Been there done that he told me. 18 year old boys more than often are late, don’t show up at all because of all nighters with girls, hangovers, concerts and screw around most of the day when they do show up. On the other hand illegal immigrants show up every day on time, and work at a jog.
BTW – here in Houston with the biggest market for illegal aliens in the nation – the wage is $10 an hour under the table and lunch. Far above minimum wage. They are available to hire at many known spots around town. In fact if you drive into one of those spots they swarm the car for work. Keep the windows up or they will get in the car!
They are much better at landscape, digging, trees, tile, masonry, drywall and roofing than stupid white people.
