“We’re gonna smoke Obama. Hey big goober… Obama, they’re coming for you this time. This bull’s gonna get ya, Obama. He’s gonna get ya.” Missouri State Fair Rodeo clown
The rodeo clown wearing the mask goes by the name Tuffy Gessling, the announcer in the booth was Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association president Mark Ficken. Tuffy was wearing a live microphone and as of this moment neither one is admitting to being the one who said the words, though it was Mark Ficken who resigned after non partisan outrage hit the media.
The issue here is that this event happened at the tax funded Missouri state fair, hard earned tax dollars being spent on the racial overtones of wanting to see the President trampled by a bull.
The usual suspects are now claiming that both the rodeo clown and the announcer are heroes of free speech. Glenn Beck has taken up the Spartacus cry of I AM THE RODEO CLOWN!, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and the entire Republican base loves this guy. I noticed my Google search on this that about 99% of the results are Right-wing websites and publications screaming their heads off..
After all, what better way of reaching out to blacks, Hispanics and the young voters who are more and more rejecting the bigotry and racism of their parents?
In the big Summer GOP/RNC meeting in Boston the Republicans announced that they have FOUR, yes FOUR young minority Republicans they are going to send out to widen their tent. And hold on to your hats, they have FOUR MORE waiting in the wings to help out come this Fall! That is EIGHT all together!
