The Presidential trip to India, the cost of which has been trumpeted by right wing pundits as costing over $200 million dollars a day, which is of course an enormous exaggeration.
The importance of the trip cannot be exaggerated, and perhaps some of the better moments are those which generally happen far from the glare of the spotlight,
such as this meeting between Michelle Obama and children from a charity which helps underprivileged youngsters.
The First Lady spoke to the eager children about the importance of getting an education, in turn they were thrilled to involve the First Lady in a joyful Indian dance of the sort we rarely see but for Bollywood films.
"I didn’t grow up with a lot of money," Mrs. Obama said. "I never even imagined being the First Lady of the United States. But because I had an education, when the time came to do this, I was ready."
