Feeling bad about the Great White Wave election of 2010? Let me ease your pain.
In a post election CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll, Fox News commentator and Evangelical Christian Fundamentalist Mike Huckabee beats President Obama 52 to 44. An 8 point advantage for President of the United States in 2012. Mormon Mitt Romney beats President Obama by 5 points 50, to 45. Sarah Palin trails the Obama by 7 points and Newt Gingrich trails by two points.
So if you think this last election was bad, put on your seat belts for the next one. And make sure you have air bags – front and sides. Because the American people are even dumber than you thought they were Wednesday morning
So what is it about Huckabee and Romney that so endears them to the American people?
Mike Huckabee really believes that humans lived with dinosaurs 6000 years ago, people live inside fishes, and Jesus is going to kill everyone in a few years. He is everything Christine O’Donnell is except a witch. [And tell me this NON photo shopped picture of Mike is not a doppelganger for Gomer Pyle.] If we were to vote today, the image and brain of Gomer Pyle would be President.
Mitt Romney really believes Jesus Christ came down from the cross and settled in upstate New York with the lost tribe of Israel that had been living there for over 500 years. That makes Scientology look tame.
So anyone telling me to lighten up on taking issue with the religious crap that drives this nation into gross ignorance and abject intolerance can kiss my formally tobacco stained ass. ADAF!
