So much so the politics of Atlanta has seen fit to look the other way after her stepson Anthony Groover got in a drunken stupor and kicked in the face of a friend of his. It was so serious he was arrested and charged with a felony. But being related to the Belle of Atlanta, the Grand Jury refused to indict. You know of course that grand juries are political appointments in most jurisdictions. In the South Grand Juries are appointed from a pool of Republican activists and donors by Republican Mayors.
You can imagine how that goes down in Southern counties. Oops, I forgot, the 5 Republicans on the Supreme Court said racism is no longer a problem in the South. I wonder if any of them have ever been South of Des Moines? Well other than Duck Hunting in Louisiana anyway.
