Multi-talented actor and star of the political drama ‘House of Cards,’ Kevin Spacey tells Dave Letterman, and us what it’s like to hang out with former President Bill Clinton. It sounds like a good time, for those who can stay up late! Spacey who hilariously imitates Clinton to a ‘T’ describes what it’s like when Bill decides he wants to stop at a Starbucks, while encumbered by a motorcade. Most revealing is Spacey’s insight into the former POTUS and his love of gab…Which is much funnier in Clinton’s voice. Spacey says, “Somewhere along the line he (Clinton) must have taken a pill that says – I don’t go to bed ’till there’s no one left to talk to.”
“House of Cards” is much like real politics, but more efficient, according to Spacey in Politico. Perhaps that’s why it’s a favorite of Bill Clinton. ‘You know, our story lines are not that crazy, they’re really not.'” There are a few differences, he notes: “Some people feel that 99% of the show is accurate, and that the 1% that isn’t is that you could never get an education bill passed that quickly. It must be really interesting for not just the American public but people around the world to view a very effective Congress that gets things done.” It is fiction after all…Seeing Congress pass education bills might explain why the show is a favorite of Clinton and the Obamas. The newest season of House of Cards premiered Friday, notes Politico
