We have white cops killing unarmed black men in Ferugson, in New York, in Cleveland, in Arizona just to name a few of the most recent examples. Four white men at Fox News declare there is no trend and it is not about race. I hate using sports metaphors but though 80% of the Fox News audience is over 60, they are at least 110% White.
Fox News and the GOP sure have tossed any and all outreach into black and Hispanic communities out the window forever. They are putting all their hopes and dreams into one big white basket of rotten apples, believing they can hold the power by gerrymandering, endless corporate money, suppressing the minority vote and getting out their rural and suburban white base.
Their fail is not so much the changing demography which is moving a lot slower than expected, nor is it that they will be losing any state governors, legislatures or control of county grand juries, but rather that President Clinton will be replacing one and perhaps two conservative Supreme Court judges with liberal judges. That is what will change the nation and the world as Republicans see it.
