After a rousing premier with Sarah Palin in attendance, the magic of Iowa seems to be wearing thin as ‘The Undefeated’ premiers elsewhere, fast becoming ‘The Unwatched’ by ‘The Disinterested’. The next stop was California, where a reporter from ‘The Atlantic’ went to see the new docudreary which claims to chronicle Sarah Palin’s ‘political accomplishments’ – accomplishments which somehow tie-in with lions devouring an unfortunate zebra. Perhaps the shoestring budget didn’t allow for film of barracuda in their natural habitat? A partial account follows.
While in the theater only 2 other people showed up to see the movie, and they were visiting from out of town. When they realized the movie that they had unwittingly bought tickets to was a Sarah Palin documentary, they left within 30 minutes.
Newscat Note: ("The Undefeated" does sound a bit like a Steven Segal film, it may pull in a few patrons on the shaky merit of the name alone). Maybe it was the fact that Harry Potter was also premiering that night, or maybe it’s just that nobody is interested in seeing a documentary where a failed vice-presidential candidate and half-term Governor touts her own accomplishments.
