Muslim, Sikh, Albanian, Bolivian, Sri Lankan, Buddhist, oops, Indian comedian Aziz Ansari did very well dealing with the present horror of now President Donald. Aziz, who 16 years ago believed we had elected a dilldough as President now looks back at George W Bush as an eloquent statesmen. Me too! [I never disliked George, he was kindly, only a puppet to Cheney and the neocons, and he was funny with a good sense of humor. He liked other people, not just himself. While President Donald has no sense of humor, is anything but funny, has not a smidgen of decency, dignity or empathy and is unarguably not only the most vindictive man in reality or literature, but a know nothing narcissistic buffoon.
But it was Aziz Ansari’s closing statement that was the highlight of the evening.
I want to leave you guys with a serious thought. I know there are a lot of people that are worried now. This is a wierd time. If you’re exicted about trump, great, he’s president. Let’s hope he does a great job. If you are scared about Trump and your very worried, you’re going to be okay too.
Because if you look at our country’s history, change doesn’t come from Presidents. Change comes from large groups of angry people. And if day one is any indication, you are part of the largest group of angry people I have ever seen! Good luck to you.
And that was before Saturday when more people showed up for the Woman’s march than did the inauguration.
