Saul Alinsky wrote the book on being a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER to help poor urban blacks our of abject poverty and racism. No wonder Republicans hate him so much!
Yes the name under the picture is wrong. Though it may be purposeful to add to the absurdity of this all, I still find the need to comment.
Saul Bellow was a successful novelist who won the Pulitzer and the Nobel in the same year, 1976. As a teenager I read one of his books which helped define my world view, Henderson the Rain King. Henderson finds his life falling apart when he enters into his sixties. He travels to the African interior to find himself. He comes across a village plagued by raining frogs. Using his own knowledge and a bit of science he finds the cause of the problem and fixes it to the joy of the tribe. With his self esteem restored and an epiphany that life is most satisfying by helping others, he returns to America and enters his first year of Medical School. YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN… OR CHANGE!
