Colbert: Florida’s Rep Allen West says 81 members of Congress are in the Communist Party

Representative Allen West is a retried Lt Colonel in the US Army. As an officer and gentleman myself I can say that he is fairly representative of not only the officer corp in military service, but the enlisted men as well.

I have in my hand a list of percentages of American Troops by party affiliation. 90% of enlisted men and over 95% of the officer core are card carrying Republicans. I saw that on the net. Support our troops! [BTW, enlisted men supporting Republicans has been dropping and is now at about 60%. Officer corp is still up above 85% though.] 

Note that Colonel West did not say he THOUGHT or BELIEVED 81 members of congress LEANED TOWARD communism, but that 81 members of congress ARE MEMBERS of the COMMUNIST PARTY.  

West is following in the footsteps of the most despicable American politician of all time, Joe McCarthy, who had as his adviser that sick little gay, gay-hating,  Jewish Jew-hating Roy Cohn. Who died a painful deserving death from AIDS. McCarthy a life long alcoholic, just drank himself to death after he was destroyed. "Senator Senator, have you no sense of decency…"  

West has little to worry about. Ann Coulter who wrote a book a few years back glorifying Joe McCarthy and Roy Cohn is sure to come to his defense, and no one is more credible than Ann Coulter! And of course Big Tea Party donors are going to be sending him big Tea Party money.  

One last thing, Sarah Palin recently advised Mitt Romney to consider Colonel West as a VP running mate! Maybe four years from now the GOP ticket will be PALIN / WEST 2016.
