Sam Bee presents a lyrical look at the ice-encrusted purgatory that is the Jeb Bush campaign in New Hampshire, where dreams and campaigns come to die – but in a humorous way. Truly.
The narrator has a wonderful voice that is made to impart the cozy, homily beauties of small town life. His description of Jeb’s two biggest contenders is so accurate as to be unmistakable. The men who are handing Jeb’s ass to him are “An oddly tinted combination of psychiatric symptoms” and “a man who seems that would lecture a kitten on personal responsibility, then deport that kitten with his family.”
While Jeb seeks to impart the message ‘slow and steady wins the day’ by giving small turtles to children at his rallies, you will soon see why it’s likely that Donald Trump has selected the alligator as his own kid gift. Warning – some violence.
It’s soon clear that Donald Trump draws a much rowdier – and larger element from the town, while Jeb’s rally is an intimate gathering of the well-behaved. Still, Jeb claims; “Campaigning is the biggest blast in the world!” This leads me to wonder if this was the same gathering at which he concluded his remarks, and said; “clap now, please.”
