"He who gives more than a thousand shekels will become a Pioneer and have access to me at our supper."
Al Franken narrates the tale of the two men named Jesus. Pilate is faced with the decision between a poor Jesus of Nazareth, and Supply Side Jesus. The former measures his wealth in generosity, compassion and good works. The latter, Las Vegas Supply-Side Jesus will cut taxes and ‘double our revenues.’ He will also stop the environmentalists…And that is before breakfast. Ironically, Supply Side Jesus has a great many followers from Republican Family Values groups. Sound at all familiar?
