“Honoring predator Harvey Milk on a U.S. postage stamp is disturbing to say the least. Harvey Milk was a very disreputable man and used his charm and power to prey on young boys with emotional problems and drug addiction. He is the last person we should be featuring on a stamp.” American Family Association
Back in 1978 when most everyone hated gay people, a Christian family advocate by the name of Dan White murdered Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected official along with SF Mayor Moscone who was his friend. Christian family values at work. I wonder, is there any form of bigotry that is not rooted in religion?
The American Family Association founded by Don Wildmon owns over 200 radio stations and hates Harvey Milk very very much for not only being gay but also being a child molester which he wasn’t. They also hate Supreme Court Justice Kagan for being a lesbian which she isn’t. They also contend that The Holocaust happened only because Hitler was a homo which he wasn’t. Because the AFA lies about the facts and science of various aspects of gay and gay individuals in expressing their hatred, the Southern Poverty Law Center has defined them as a Hate Group. The AFA really hates them for doing that. Other organizations with the words FAMILY and CHRISTIAN also hate that. I wonder, is there any form of hatred that is not rooted in religion?
They do have a point. After all, how could any organization with the words CHRISTIAN and FAMILY in it hate anyone at all?
