It seems their are two thing driving our gun culture gone wild. The NRA supporting the arms industry, and gun enthusiasts who see the world as an ugly dangerous world filled with minorities who are out to get them. . It's a sad world view, especially when its the minorities who have been “gotten” in our history. I often ask gun enthusiasts I know why not find a new hobby, how about fishing? Or growing some tomatoes? Or anything OTHER than the worship of weapons of death… I get nowhere with that approach. Reason, facts even seeing their hand in front of their face fails. Its the half empty crowd, those who lives are consumed by fear and hate and bigotry. Oh sure there are exceptions to everything, but the NRA understands that fear and hate and bigotry sells guns. It is what they do, it is their purpose to sell fear and hate and bigotry to those who so dislike the world they live in. Sometimes I feel sorry for them, until the next Newtown anyway… I think what I would most like to get across to everyone is that everyone of the mass shooters, gang members, gun murderers and terrorists are GUN ENTHUSIASTS. It is not something to celebrate as we do.
