Groan…In what I presume was to be a light moment in Monday’s GOP debate, candidates were asked to play a game so you could get to know them as people – if people they truly be. One would have thought that it was a pass or fail exam by the serious demeanor and visible relief at hitting upon an ‘okay’ answer to such biggies as "Elvis or Johnny Cash?" "Leno or Letterman" produced beads of sweat. Mitt was obviously veering from his beige personality with the daring choice of "spicy wings!" Call me a cynic, but I didn’t feel spontaneity in the answers. One memorable 2008 debate question involved the candidate’s religion – and everyone knew the ‘correct’ answer with no painful inner struggle at all.
