John Edwards – The Fantasy
Besides Dennis Kucinich who has no chance at all, John Edwards is the only progressive running for President. Some unexpected happening between now and next Spring could get him the nomination which he would probably. A slim chance.
Barack Obama – The Possibility
Though not very progressive, Barack Obama has the ball and the charisma to become the first African American President. But being from down here in Dumbass there is something most of the rest of America just doesn’t seem to get. That if Obama were to become the Democrat nominee, he would not live to take the oath of office. There are literally millions of trigger happy James Earl Ray’s down here.
Hillary Clinton – The Reality
Thought the least progressive and the most mainstream, all things being the equal next year, Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States. The gleeful horse laughing from the Right praying that if she wins, she is unelectable in the general election is a horse laugh in itself.
I like Edwards as do most progressives, after all, he takes good care of his hair. Others are hot for Obama for his independence and charisma. But we have to all face the reality that a dollar to a dougnut it will be Hillary. This will not give us everything we wish, but it will be a big enough improvement to change the face of America from a stupid grimace to a kind smile. So let’s not beat up on her to harshly hey?
