Republicans are smart, they get most of their votes from people voting against their own self interest. Though primarily concerning economic factors including wages, employment, collective bargaining and regressive taxation. Not to mention health care, education, criminal justice and tort reform.
Bathroom philosopher Jamie Black assumes we know all that so in this case he suggests that the GOP is so smart they can even get all these white Christians to vote against their own Christianity. Jesus loves guns? God wants us to destroy the gift of Earth he blessed us with? And in all their whiteness screeching against Planned Parenthood who does more than anyone dispensing birth control to the poor which not only keeps them from having to support more Tyrones and Miquels with guns, but helps reduce abortions.
What Jamie Black fails to explain is why these working class white people vote against their own self interest time and time again. But I guess he doesn’t need to as we can see the problem in his presentation. And from what we learned in Tulsa the other day, the bigger the badder.
