A good interview with Science Guy Bill Nye after his debate with creationist museum nutcake Ken Ham.
I took notice that both Bill Nye and Bill Maher accepted the recent Gallup poll that 46% of Americans literally believe the Genesis story, that God created the Earth and man in his image less than 10,000 years ago.
That is one of those polls that anyone from the South or who can smell the pigcrap from their front porch has no trouble accepting, in fact I find it a bit low. On the other hand Yankees and Coasters think it’s impossible that so many people are that stupid. They need a road trip…
Bill Nye also explains why he decided to lower himself into a debate with anyone as silly as Ken Ham. He does so because almost half of the parents and schools in America are teaching our children magic is real and science is crap. It reflects poorly on advancing science and educating our kids to compete with the rest of the world. My God, more Iranians accept evolution than Americans.
Bill Maher made the point that even with 46% of Americans denying evolution, it is more of a intellectual failing rather that causing any serious harm as denying Global Warming entails. Bill Nye reminds us that it’s the same people working from the same premise. And I might add they want 7 billion people to die so they can go to Heaven with Jesus. That’s how sick in the heads they are. What is the percentage of those hoping for rapture in their lifetime? Let me look that up. 41%. In the chart for that I noticed the number 59% coming up often. 59% of those from the South, from the West, White Evangelicals and who have High school educations or less believe it.
