You’re in the drive-through line at Burger King. Through some lack of communication, your Western Bar-B-Q cheeseburger is not as ordered. You ya gonna call? Why 911 emergency services to dispatch police, of course! What else could they possibly be doing that’s more important?
You really have to hear this woman. “You’re supposed to be here to protect me. Just come down here!” This is the most patient 911 operator I’ve ever heard, but all of her reasonable explanation makes no sense to the woman who wants it HER
way!
I’ve noticed a few of these calls from drive thru lanes of fast food restaurants lately. One involved a juice box. I can’t help but wonder if the invention of the cell phone is partly responsible? Would Ms Juice Box and Ms Cheeseburger
have piled out of their cars, and stood in a cold phone booth arguing with 911 over their fast food orders, or is it just too convenient to pester nearly anyone from the safe, enclosed comfort of your fast food wrapper strewn vehicle?
