It seems Gretchen Calson is a very smart lady who plays Forest Gump for Fox News in the mornings. In fact Fox News itself is not stupid either. Nor is it filled with uneducated boobs – well other than Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly anyway.
Fox News knows what they are doing and they do it well – it is the propaganda arm of the Republican Party which panders to the wingnut Republican Base. To grab and hold that audience they need only act like morons themselves. Keep this under your hat, but morons are not only attracted to other morons, they don’t even know they are morons. Shhhhhhh… Please…
The reason Fox News has more viewers than the rest of the cable news outlets combined is they know what morons like, Cindy Lauper comes to mind for some reason. It is what they do and they do it better than anyone. In fact I was surprised to find that that Fox News advertisements are not ALL for trailer jacks, dental hygiene and PEZ.
Fox News knows how to make it simple, how to turn complicated issues into the one liners they are given each morning by the RNC talking point crew. The weekly RNC talking points are generated each Friday and presented each Sunday Morning by the Republican talking heads across all the networks.
Of course screeching SOCIALISM! is their mainstay. You know, socialism as in Social Security (which they filibustered), Medicare (which the filibustered) and of course the Marxist institutions of public education, libraries, museums, monuments and state universities which exclude the Republican Base in favor of the hated and despised "smart people!" Smart people are the enemy who make a conclicapated mess for bears of little brain. Sorry Pooh. Oh and not to forget the socialism behind stop signs! Damn, don’t you just hate being forced to stop by THE GOVERNMENT. Oops, don’t you just hate being forced to stop by the American Government.
CNN and MSNBC only confuse the Republican Base more than they already are. And worse, the people out front of those networks all seem to be smart and well informed. I suggest both those networks utilize some simple theatrics to help draw the crowd away from Fox. Licorice gum to put over a front tooth or two would be good. Or wearing those glasses with eyeballs on long springs bouncing about is a sure draw. And perhaps having a gun visible on their person. Ouuu… That richt there would change it all!
