Republican Gay pundit Andrew Sullivan used to make my skin crawl, now that he has CHANGED to a Democrat, Andrew Sullivan still makes my skin crawl.
Here he blames our political divisiveness on The Sixties and The Clintons when in fact our political divisiveness goes back hundreds of years, if not thousands of years with the age old dichotomy of altruism versus self interest. Sullivan falsely argues Obama is the only chance of change on the issues and that he is the face that will end racism in America and the rest of the world. I am not sure where Andrew Sullivan lives, but it sure as Hell isn’t Texas!
This little interview does speak to my only problem with Barack Obama, that naivety he and his young following have that we need only sit down and gently discuss matters with Republicans and all will be well. There are about three reasonable Republicans in the Senate and probably less than that in the House!
Perhaps as a prelude to get a sense of reality to this matter Barack should sit down with Rush Limbaugh to discuss Global Warming, or discuss gay rights with Senator Larry Craig, or pulling out of Iraq with William Kristol, or increasing taxes with Grover Norquist, or evolution with Mike Huckabee… The only thing the RNC understands is a boot in the ass. And boy do they have it coming.
