Comedian Jim Jefferies addresses the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, and Trump’s lackluster response. Jim has a few words for rally-goers, whose plans backfired, when the glow of patio tiki torches revealed their faces to the world. Young Peter Cvjetanovic – pictured, is one of those illuminated. Screaming Peter claims he’s not a white racist, but a white nationalist who cares for all people and wants to “preserve what we have.” Jim addresses Peter and his ilk, who now are being outed as Nazis, and are feeling persecuted for the first time in their lives.
Jim has a word for those – like Donald Trump, who claim that the statues are history; “Who’s next” Trump equivocated,” George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson?” Jefferies explores the fallacies in Trump’s sudden interest in historical preservation, and points out that there isn’t a statue of Adolph Hitler anywhere in Germany – yet somehow we remember him.
