At least 500 participants are expected this year in Queensland’s Annual Nude Olympics which has been growing steadily every year. Organizers say having fun is more important than winning medals.
A range of physical competitions including tug of war, marathons and beach sprints will test participants’ prowess and capabilities. Less traditional games like conga lines [how they attach themselves to the person in front of them is your guess] and egg throwing will also be run.
Other favorite competitions are the “magnificent mums, and “best bums.” “We usually have to fight the judges off with a stick because everybody wants to get involved with presenting those medals,” said a spokesman. The clip is from the 2007 competition.
