There is a political dynamic that after a party fights it out in their primaries they put away their animosity (on the surface) and rally around the winner to beat the guy from the other party, even though they may still really hate each other. Fox News feels the need to explain that to it’s audience in sports metaphors. A thing that really does not need explaining to those who are not hillbillies.

Perhaps it is time for the often lucid Fox News Shepard Smith to call it a day over there at Fox and have Roger Ailes replace him with Jethro Bodine.
