The lesson here is that even an empty chair has more compassion than a Republican.
Before the GOP convention we all knew that Republicans could care less about the poor, the working poor, African Americans, Hispanics, Gays, single women and the Earth itself. Now after the convention it is clear we can add wage earners and those who draw salaries to that delightful mix.
There must be something very wrong with anyone in those groups who votes for Republicans. Methinks it is either too much Ayn Rand or too much Jesus Christ? Perhaps a hybrid meld of celebrating religious intolerance and personal selfishness. Which is all too human. What burns my butt is they not only do it in the name of Jesus Christ, but get away with it.
