It goes without saying that to be in the good graces of Jesus Christ here in America one must promote guns and the killing of not only humans near and far but also as many animals and trees as one can get their hands on. Oh almost forgot, and the very basis of Christian politics, reducing benefits to the poor and children’s education to give tax breaks to the wealthy. Who all pass easily through the eye of a needle. There you go! American Christianity promoting killing and selfishness.
Sure that is about as disgusting as religion gets, but nowhere near as bad as the Evangelical concept of "rapture".
"More and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead." Sarah Palin in the Barbra Walters interview pinning for one of the the lead up criteria to the coming rapture.
Both Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee (and about 30% of Americans) both have a real shot at becoming president and both are true believers in the coming rapture in our lifetime.
They LONG FOR the extinction of over 6 billion people including fetuses, infants, babies, children, mothers, fathers, Grandpas and Grandmas. They HOPE FOR a long torturous death by fire for all.
One may wonder why these KIND OF PEOPLE would PRAY FOR and WANT this ultimate genocide – which puts to shame anything Hitler, Stalin and Mao combined had designs for – suffered upon mankind.
There is a very simple answer to this.
They are personally excluded from the suffering and will gain Heaven at the death of everyone but themselves.
Remember now, these are the same people who also believe BAD THOUGHTS are the same as BAD ACTIONS.
So help me with this. Can anyone think of anything more truly evil than this Christian concept that makes even Satan seem a kindly soul?
