Jake Tapper tells Conan how he challenged Kellyanne Conway on Trump’s empirical lies and eventually got her to concede – kind of. A photo of Tapper’s face during the Conway interview has become a much-loved meme for good reason. Tapper may be the only living human who has wrested the truth out of Conway – if only for a moment.
There are truths and there are falsehoods in this world, and when we have data and proof we generally agree on what is factual…But not so with the Trump Administration. No doubt you’ve watched as Conway wrestles a fact and twists it into another topic entirely, in a maddeningly convoluted style all her own!
Faced with several of Trump’s claims that are easily proven to be untrue, Conway revealed a unique way of looking at the world. Conway: “But do those things he says that aren’t true, are they more important than the things he says that ARE true?”
