The bestselling author of “The Spooky Truth” series wants to teach kids that pulling back the curtain on what the government doesn’t want us to know can be fun!
It’s a rags to riches American story. K.L. Graves once wrote and published unpopular pamphlets for adults. Now that he’s put the same ‘Spooky Truth’ about conspiracies into children’s books, with colorful illustrations, he’s a hit with the kiddie Truther crowd. There will never be a lack of material for the beloved author because lucrative conspiracies are everywhere! Could this guy be Glenn Beck in a rubber mask?
However…As the resident conspiracy nut here on the blog, I must point out that some ‘conspiracies’ carry much more weight than Birther conspiracies, black helicopters, the Illuminati and the Muslim overthrow of the U.S. from within – by The Anti-Christ.
In some instances the government is out to get you. Take the case of the Tuskegee experiments, where African American servicemen were given syphilis, and denied treatment – the better to study them, my dear! The Denver Airport, often a target of certifiable conspiracy nutters, does give one pause. Take a look at the bizarre murals and the ‘greeting’ statues – if you’re not an insomniac. I could go on, but I believe I’ll save it – perhaps for a children’s book. ; )
