Why can’t – or should we ask – why don’t mainstream interviewers take on these Right-wing know-nothings like Jason Jones does here? It sure looks easy enough to make fools of them.
My usual answer is SHARE. They do not want to offend the Right and lose advertising share to Fox News. Another factor is if interviewers can so easily make fools of these Tea Party Uglies, they and those like them will never come on the show again. It is why even Rachel Maddow and Al Sharpton are so nice and polite to the few Republicans who will still come on their shows.
But it is also something else I have taken notice of with this Obamacare and Shutdown business. Even Democrats, moderates and regular people on the street when asked about either Obamacare or the Shutdown are afraid to defend Obama or Obamacare. Why is that?
Why are so many people pretending that it’s EVERYONES fault and refuse to point the finger where it belongs? What are they afraid of? People in walkers and scooters? Hey, the scooters need recharging and you can remove the tennis balls from the walkers and most of the Tea Party will slide away into oblivion where they belong.
No, fear of the old people in the Tea Party Ugly is not it. Good white Americans do not want to be seen in public by their family, friends, coworkers and neighbors defending President Obama. I suppose it is up to each of to decide why that is. But if you live South of the Mason Dixon Line you know damn well why it is.
