The only form of federal welfare for the poor are now Food Stamps. Oops, did I say "poor"? I meant lazy. Republicans shout proudly and loudly about taking away unemployment benefits for the unemployed. Gosh, did I say "unemployed"? I meant lazy.
There are 43 million recipients of Food Stamps today, more than ever before. So how long will it be before Grover Norquist and his Republican Party will loudly and proudly begin taking food from the mouths of children? Probably not until 2013 after they win the Senate and the White House and will be able to do whatever they want.
On the bright side of this probable scenario, that instead of complicated divided government, all our problems will be coalesced into one single ideology and identity incorporating all three branches of government. A well defined very white group with its leadership headquarters at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
