On no! President Obama compares Obamacare to smart phones and gets caught by the New Samsung Fire. But it was kinda fun seeing him deal with a fopah.
The most recent poll I have found is from May 2016 were 59% of Americans want a single payer health care system. I went through a lengthy explanation of single payer just a few days ago but forgot to add something to it.
Single payer is a payroll tax, like Social Security, which everyone pays, it will be less expensive for better coverage than what we have now with Obamacare or the GOP nothing or the Trump mystery. The key is the “everyone” pays.
What I forgot to add last week was that our system today works primarily with employers paying anywhere from half to all their employees healthcare insurance bill. Much of that is a company incentive to attract good employees. So how about we keep that incentive by having companies pay all or most of the payroll tax of their employees which would be no change for them and make the system free for most people? Or have these companies just subtract what they pay now for their employee insurance cost and raise their wages with the difference. A win, win, win, win.
Why cannot we have a health care system where the people decide the costs and the coverage rather than gangs of millionaires in board rooms who care only about profits for the next quarter and COULD CARE LESS about anyone’s health care but their own, which they are too rich to even think about? Come on.
There are two reasons that we cannot do that. First it is what the Republican Party [the only entity in the world against single payer] says it is SOCIALISM which is evil crap, and secondly – though perhaps primarily – because it means that white people will have to give even more of their hard earned tax money to lazy Negroes and Mexican rapists.
