A few days ago PBS repeated a wonderful Nova documentary on Dogs. Dogs Decoded, full video. The new Republican Congress has at the top of their TO DO list, removing funding from both NPR and PBS. After all, Nova is created and watched by smart people which Republicans want no part off, smart people don’t vote for them. Smart people got no reason to live.
Here are a few things you will learn about dogs from the watching the show – which all dog lovers should not miss.
All dogs are descended from Grey Wolves.
Only dogs understand humans pointing at an object.
Without dogs to protect flocks and crops humans would not have advanced past hunter gatherers.
AND MOST IMPORTANT.
Dog owners have half the chance of a heart attack than those without dogs and have a 5 times better chance of surviving a heart attack.
SO GO GET A DOG BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE! Not from a puppy mill. Either adopt from the SPCA or look in the paper and go see the litter, do not let them bring the dog to you.
