Jimmy Kimmel: The relationship between Clippers owner Donald Sterling and V. Stiviano is a classic love story: a romance between wealthy sports owner and an opportunistic young woman. Not since the movie Jerry Maguire has a sport-related relationship tugged at our heartstrings like this, so we thought it would make sense to give the Sterling/Stiviano love affair the Jerry Maguire treatment.
Keep your hankies close, no one will think you’re weak or sentimental if you weep. In a world where it’s difficult to make new friends as an adult, sometimes an adult will befriend a child. A young woman reached out to Donald Sterling, gushing, “I couldn’t stop thinking about you for two months after the Superbowl.” His net worth was the stuff of her dreams. The dewy faced girl continued, “I want to be your friend.” Sterling growled: “I don’t need any friends.” That is when V. Stiviano broke through his tough facade, and opened a pathway to his heart, via her devoted friendship and an hour (or more) in a dark room.
With nothing in return save a condo, four cars, and maybe a little knockin’ around money, V. became everything to Donald. Says V. “I’m Mr. Sterling’s right hand man arm.” “I’m his best friend.” Says Sterling in an equally touching statement, “She’s got a fabulous bod & she loves to have sex.” Missus Sterling was not available for comment, although V. has doubtless won a place of gratitude in her heart.
Those crazy kids had it all! Now harsh words and a surreptitiously recorded tape have come between them. Can they work it out? See the romance, the heartbreak and the drama, and judge for yourself!
