Are you planning to travel abroad this year? If so, you’ll want to be aware of strange and bizarre laws that are still on the books. Maybe some of these weird laws exist in your chosen destination, and be forewarned, they are actively enforced! Unless you want to trade ‘How’d they catch you?” stories with hardened criminals abroad, listen to me. I don’t care that your skivvies are in the wash, or that you’re only popping downstairs for a newspaper. Do not ‘go commando’ in Taiwan!
Oh…If you find yourself picking your nose (yechh) in Israel, you’d better hope it’s not Sunday! This might be a good time to just break the habit.
Just a word or two about clothing. In Barbados, leave your camo at home, it’s illegal. I suspect no amount of sun block, ropes of cameras, or funny sun hats can deflect the image of you as a gorilla, in the eyes of officials. Yes, it’s your wedding camo – we know, but these are foreigners who don’t appreciate camo’s wide ranging usefulness back home.
Oh, and be a love and leave those obnoxiously loud flip flops at home when visiting Capri. They like calm, quiet, moderated tones in sound and color alike. Blend in or be banned to prison where the sensibilities are less muted.
