While politics is such a hot topic, imagine the repercussions if Facebook came to life – and all of those bad political puns and declarations of loyalty to Donald Trump were now coming from a live person sitting across from you. Do you think they would take the time to pass along all of those tired jokes, pithy sayings and false rumors in real life? Your altruistic friends will change the world – and it sounds grumpy to criticize them until you realize they’re doing it one ‘like’ at a time. If they’re really into sacrifice, a change of theme for a couple of weeks will let everyone know how dedicated they are.
Everyone will relate to the friend who is first a hot fact, complete with statistics. For example: “Did you know 70% of people over 40 don’t even vote 50% of the time?” Asked where she came by this information, ‘friend’ replies; ‘a stranger had that information on a photo and now I’m giving it to you.’ Bring me a dead bird next time, like the cat does. Luckily the hero of the story knows how to break the news to ‘friend’ that the original poster might have been the tiniest bit biased.
