Satirizing someone who is so far out in La La Land is troublesome. Especially someone like Ted Nugent who admits he gets erections while killing animals. It is hard to tell if it is real or not. And then one has to deal with whether what is used as satire is more over the top that the real thing? Nugent brags about killing cats and dogs.
I was recently treated to a 1950 movie on TCM called GUN CRAZY. The first five minutes hit Ted Nugent right on the head. A 15 year old stands in front of store window lusting after a gun inside. He cannot control himself, breaks the window and runs off with the gun and ammo. He is caught by the police immediately. In court the next day the judge asks why. The boy explains he loves guns, he loves holding them, shooting them, he can think of nothing but guns, guns are his entire life, he wants to spend the rest of his life with guns, he cannot live without guns. On and on. The judge sends him to reform school, he gets out in a few years and wallows in guns, to no good end of course.
