In just two short years Glenn Beck first doubled the viewers in the Fox time slot he filled, then lost many viewers, and hundreds of sponsors due to his paranoid, racist, anti-Obama ranting, punctuated by Vicks Vaporub tears.
Stephen Colbert described Beck’s "Crank up the crazy and rip off the knob" television persona. Beck’s shows involved sadistic dramatic scenes, puppet theater, and the ever-present blackboard, where you can always play "Seven degrees of communism."
If Beck had truly been dropped on his pointy head by Fox with nowhere to go, there would be genuine tears streaming from his soggy face! As it stands, he may have more widespread influence than before. Mercury Radio Arts will stay in business creating other projects for Fox T.V. and digital, starting with documen’teary’ productions that Beck is preparing. How can we miss him if he won’t go away?
Glenn Beck is Paul Revere!
