Gretchen Carlson, former Miss America in 1989, and honors graduate from Stanford University, played dumb blonde to Steve Doocy’s dimwit on Fox & Friends until 2013 when she dared to complain to Roger Ailes, about her co-host’s disrespectful behavior. Within three years, Carlson received her walking papers.
While this humorous animation covers Carlson’s story briefly, and portrays slimy Ailes with an uncanny likeness. What it doesn’t say is that even more women have since come out to point an accusatory finger at Ailes.
A woman who was 16-years-old at the time of her interview with Ailes, recalls how Ailes pulled down his pants, and chased her around the office with his – um, ‘manhood’ waving. A different story told by ‘Pat’ a former TV producer wasn’t unusual. Pat was told; ‘If you want to make it in New York City in the TV business, you’re going to have to BLANK me, and you’re going to have to do that with anyone I tell you to.”
Women who refused Ailes, said his threats to blackball them were not empty. With numerous contacts in the media and in politics, Ailes made calls, and no one would hire them in their chosen industry. At least we now know that the women at Fox weren’t produced at a Fem-bot lab, but have been hand picked, to fit Aile’s demanding standards. As quickly as women are turning up to say ‘me too, professional observers predict that the Ailes scandal may grow to Cosby-like proportions!
