Funny or Die created a hilarious ad proving that negative publicity over Indiana’s ‘Religious Freedom’ (and gay discrimination) bill doesn’t have to mean the end of Indiana tourism. With tongue-in-cheek, the ad touts the many activities a “white 1950’s family” can still enjoy in the new ‘homo-free’ Indiana. Most of the activities involve wholesome, outdoor fun which now can be enjoyed without – um… obstruction or censorious looks from gays or “lesbos,” and for some Americans, that is the most important draw for a vacation destination. You will understand the ‘obstruction’ when you view the video…Which you truly must do. There will be a test.
Every year thousands flock to Indiana drawn by the Indy 500. Surely there are other equally entertaining things to do in Indiana?. Gov. Pence had better hope so; because in reality land, NASCAR – not known for left-wing, liberal politics, has voiced vehement objection to the ‘Religious Freedom’ bill – and they once rolled out the red carpet for Sarah Palin!
The fake ad does emphasize that you make haste before all of the businesses boycott them, and there is little left to do in the great state. Rest assured that Indiana is standing by their principles – (until they can rewrite their bill, I suspect)
Indiana offers a hearty ‘F U’ to the likes of: Angie’s List, Connecticut, the NCAA, Apple, Wilco “and all you other gaywads.” You can add all around good guy, and comedian Nick Offerman. Offerman to that list. The ‘Parks and Rec’ star and his wife, comedian Megan Mullally are cancelling their Indiana summer comedy tour.
Indiana proudly proclaims: “We stand by our intolerance!” I might add, it seems to be getting lonely standing out there alone with those principles.
