Comedian James Cordon recaps the week in politics, first by looking at Donald Trump’s day in Mexico, and then at Dr Jill Stein’s unusual campaign strategies, featuring an unusual Harambe tribute.
So much attention has been given to Trump’s trip and his exhausting day of travel and flip-floppery, that the Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein has been overlooked.
Stein does resemble Jame’s description of the lady who sells dream-catchers at a Bernie Sanders rally, so much that I worry that I may not have given her the serious attention that is her due. Now we can set aside those worries. Stein’s outreach to millennials via Twitter and Harambe hit a sour note – although it is a very funny one, if you’re not Jill Stein – or Harambe. The replies on Stein’s Twitter feed are priceless, but they let her know that the dear deceased gorilla is not the way to appeal to the social media generation. In that light, the Late, Late show designed a few posters for Stein’s campaign, that just may endear her to millennials.
