Jeb Bush has stepped in it again, and this time he is in waist deep with Stephen Colbert, of all people! Bush is scheduled to appear on the premiere of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, September ninth…But he didn’t plan to be in hot water with his host.
Jeb! erred when he sent an email to his supporters stating that anyone who donates $3 to his campaign will have an opportunity to win a trip to New York for the taping of the show, as well as a dinner with Bush and his rich friend Woody Johnson. Joy! There is one little glitch; Jeb neglected to inform Stephen Colbert of his scheme – or cut him in on the proceeds, which was a very big mistake because Stephen is still in character as his conservative alter ego.
In this YouTube video, a miffed Colbert expresses his surprise about Jeb’s plan, and announces his own VIP raffle. The lucky winner of Colber’s raffle will also be able to attend the show. As a bonus the winner will submit one non-obscene question that Colbert will ask Bush during the show, and grab a do-nut with a production assistant.
